Hi All,

I’m back! Well, sort of.

We got home in late July, but part of me is still in Japan. And I haven’t sent out this newsletter for a few months because I’m still a little unsure of where I am.

To use a cooking analogy, I feel like the fridge and pantry are fully stocked with fresh, delicious ingredients. The kitchen is clean, and the oven is preheating. Now I just need to decide what to cook. And I’m pretty hungry. So there is a lot of potential energy that needs to go into some new work.

As a way to figure this out (and ok, to procrastinate) I have been updating my site with some new goodies:

How was it to live in Japan? The short answer is that it was amazing. But the longer answer is more complicated, because now I’m here, and Japan is there.

Seen / Heard / Felt

Boston: Boston

I found this original 1976 pressing at our local record shop and I can’t stop listening to it. Maybe because it takes me back to high school. Maybe because Tom Scholz, Boston’s lead guitarist and songwriter, grew up in my hometown and went to my high school. Or maybe it’s because classic rock is always there for you when you need it.
