Hi again,

It’s the middle of summer and usually I’d be taking time away from work to be in the mountains. But this July, I’m too busy and feeling overwhelmed. I just started a really interesting book about Picasso but when I find time to read it, I can’t make it through one page without getting distracted. At this rate it will take me years to finish.

Not having the time to give ideas the attention they deserve is unsettling. I really want to do a show of new works on paper this September, but right now I don’t feel confident that I have the time to make it really great. It’s a good reminder that being busy is not the same as being productive.

I think I’m going to go for a walk.
