Hi,

Earlier this month I was fortunate to attend a weeklong mindfulness workshop at The Esalen Institute. It was a profound experience that I’m still working to integrate and understand. But, I definitely learned / discovered some stuff. I’m excited to see how it will change me and my work.

And, I’m happy to say that my newest project, Rabbit Hole is now available to view and purchase on my site. A selection of pieces are also currently on view at the beautiful new Alpine Modern on 29th Street. So, if you go — let me know what you think.

Seen / Heard / Felt

I just reread Enrique Martinez Celaya’s On Art and Mindfulness. Celaya has a gift for wrapping big, messy ideas up into short, clean, simply worded sentences. One of my favorites:

“Fight against the trendy and the reactionary. Both are too easy. The creative gesture is not the same as the whimsical gesture or the surprising flourish. Creativity is energy in search of a conduit.”
