Every editorial project starts with intensive research, followed by journal sketches. The next step usually involves packing the right equipment for the job, then flying that equipment to somewhere I've never been to make an image of something I've never seen or someone I've never met.

Even with sufficient planning, editorial work always requires resourcefulness, flexibility, and improvisation. Every shoot is an educational, inspirational ride I've learned to enjoy from beginning to end.
